Lester Short

Commercial Sales Associate

Lester has served the HVACR industry for over 50 years, working with major regional and national wholesale distributing companies in sales, training, and higher management roles. He has been a certified trainer for Copeland/Emerson, Heatcraft, ClimateMaster, Magnetek, Mitsubishi, and the IGSHPA Association, specializing in refrigeration, geothermal, and VRF technologies.

Volunteer work includes years of organizing many fund-raising events for both schools and our family churches.

Married for 46 years to my wonderful wife Debora, with 1 son & 1 grandson.

Allen Nix

Principal and Co-Founder

Allen co-founded TASGROUP, LLC in 2015 after serving in many capacities throughout his 47-year career in the HVAC industry. His roles have included Licensed Mechanical Contractor, Certified Gas/Mechanical Inspector and Plans Review Examiner, Commercial Sales Executive, Vice President of a Southeastern Distributor’s HVAC Division, and Executive Account Manager for a Southeastern Manufacturers’ Sales Rep Firm.

He has also served in several volunteer positions, including on local Parks and Recreation Boards and as a Volunteer Sheriff’s Chaplain.

Married for 41 years to his wife Diane, they have two sons and four grandchildren.

Martin Harrington

P.E.

Martin has been with TASGROUP, LLC for the past five years, following his tenure at Desert Aire. With 48 years of experience in executive sales for large HVAC equipment and the controls industry, he has held roles such as Sales Engineer, District Manager, and Regional Manager for both Johnson Controls and Kele Companies.

He has also volunteered on several ASHRAE Technical Committees for Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and various Refrigeration Safety and Application committees.

Married for 46 years to his wife Jane, they have three children and six grandchildren.

Jim Murphy

Principal and Co-Founder

Jim co-founded TASGROUP, LLC in 2015 and brings over 42 years of HVAC industry experience. Throughout his career, he has served in roles such as Commercial Sales Engineer, Mechanical Contractor Project Manager, Salesman and Sales Manager at a Distribution Company, and Principal. Though retired as of 2023, he continues to contribute in a Consultant and Advisor capacity.

Jim has also been actively involved in the Nashville ASHRAE Chapter as Government Affairs Chairman and has engaged in several other volunteer activities.

Married for 46 years to his wife Sharon, they have four sons and ten grandchildren.
